What is this campaign all about?

This is a one-time pre-order campaign to help Numinous grow into its next phase: a dedicated production space, better tools, and the capacity to make more stone-ground cacao with care. Your support helps us buy larger equipment, secure exquisite raw cacao in volume, and build infrastructure to scale soulfully. 

Along the way, y’all are asking very good questions. You can find honest answers below, and you can always reach out directly to hello@numinouscacao.com if the answers you seek aren’t here. We’d love to hear from you either way.

When did it happen?

The pre-orders blast took place over seven weeks, from mid July through the end of August, 2025. If you felt a pinch of intrigue or curiosity to join in on the fun but missed the timeline, orders are as helpful as pre-orders!

How is a pre-order different from a normal order?

We have limited offerings available in both our online shop and our Faire.com wholesale portal now, but this Pre-Order Launch is special, and we’d love for you to join us. Every pre-order helps seed our next chapter, from our humble roots to building scalable capacity.

Think of it as delayed gratification in service of the expansion of beauty. You'll receive your goodies once we’re up and running in our new space, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

When will I receive my pre-order?

We’re aiming to fulfill all preorders by end of September 2025, but are experiencing some delays with equipment delivery. It may be early October. If you invested in the campaign, we’ll keep you updated along the way with milestones, timelines, and good stories.

We’d rather be transparent than rush the process. Cacao offerings sourced with intention and made with integrity take time, and your patience helps keep this project grounded.

Is shipping included?

Shipping is included within the U.S. for all preorder kits! If you're in Canada, please email us at hello@numinouscacao.com before ordering, and we’ll find a way to make it work.

Where is this cacao sourced from?

We intend to source all our cacao through direct relationships with farmers and transparent exporters, and are currently building sourcing infrastructure to that effect. Right now, we’re working closely with partners in Honduras and Guatemala, and are building relationships in Peru and Ecuador. Every batch is traceable, grown with integrity, and processed with care.

When cacao is of high quality stock and is cultivated for its highest potential, picked at the peak of ripeness, fermented and dried with meticulous attention to detail, packed and transported with care, stored and processed thoughtfully, when each of these steps is aligned in equitable trade and reciprocal relationship with land, it nourishes body and spirit.

Are your offerings allergen-friendly?

Our cacao bars are produced in a facility that processes nuts, and on equipment processing tree nuts. While we take care in our cleaning procedures and production, we cannot guarantee allergen-free status. Some offerings, like the cacao nut butters we’re whipping up, obviously contain the tree nuts named on the labels. Please read ingredient info carefully once product pages go live.

What if I want to support, but don’t want product?

First, thank you. That means a lot. While we didn't have a no-reward donation tier on the platform, but you’re welcome to connect with me directly for donate to the cause.

Kits and bundles also make great gifts! Gifting is a beautiful way to ripple the love outward, and chocolate makes an excellent gift. You can also order a small kit (or multiple) as a gift, and hit the donation button, entering a custom amount. We are deeply appreciative of your generosity.

What happens if the campaign doesn’t reach its goal?

Regardless of the final total, your order will be honored. We’ve structured this drive so that every pre-order directly fuels our production launch. The more orders we receive, the more we can expand, but your contribution is impactful no matter what.

Can I change my shipping address later?

Yes! If you move or need to update your shipping info before fulfillment, just email us at hello@numinouscacao.com with your new address. We’ll confirm before we ship.

How will I know how things are progressing?

We’ll send out regular updates via email to all supporters. You’ll hear from us at each key milestone—because you’re not just pre-ordering chocolate, you’re walking this journey with us.

I’m a retailer or business. Can I carry your products?

Yes! Our Company Kits are designed with small businesses in mind– like cafés, restaurants, retail shops and bakeries. For those with reseller’s permits, we’ve got wholesale pricing and bulk boxes ready to pre order. The company portal has tiers targeted to fulfilling the evolving chocolate needs of diverse businesses– whether you’re intent on baking the most excellent and buttery dark chocolate croissants, or slinging traceable mochas and selling bars, the company kits will be your way to tell an integrous story with each product moving through your business.

What’s your refund policy for pre-orders?

Because this is a pre-order campaign designed to fund upfront production costs, all orders are final and non-refundable. Your support goes directly into making this next chapter possible—ordering equipment, securing cacao, and preparing our new space.

That said, if something arrives damaged or there's a fulfillment issue, we’ll make it right. Just reach out to us at hello@numinouscacao.com and we’ll work with you to resolve it with care.
